I consider myself an intermediate runner and I primarily run for fitness. I decided to run this particular race because I was training for the Chicago Marathon and used this as my 22 mile training run. I have been a runner off and on since I was 10 and always had a goal to run a marathon. Life and children delayed that but Chicago was my 3rd marathon.
I trained for 5 months with the Fleet Feet training team. It was an excellent experience. During my training I averaged 30-40 miles per week.
The 2007 Lewis & Clark Half Marathon was better than expected. It was a very enjoyable experience. I liked the new course. There was plenty of parking, and the shuttle was prompt.
I didn't have any problems with my recovery.

Tips/Words of Encouragement:
You CAN do it and it is worth it. There is nothing like the feeling of accomplishment you get when you cross that finish line. Find a training group. Runners are cool people. The support and encouragement is phenomenal. Plus it sure makes those long runs more enjoyable.
Plans to Run Another:
I plan on running two marathons a year and several half marathons.
